Horse Training & Lessons with Lucy Leadbeater

I have over 20 years of full-time experience, and can offer you affordable, practical advice on any aspect of the horse business, from selecting a horse, to managing a stable, correct riding position, to flying lead changes, or even being in harmony with your horse. 

 

LESSONS

Lesson rates are $35 for a 40 minute lesson. I keep lessons short in order to make them affordable, however, I can assure you I will pack as much learning in to those 40 minutes as you can handle! Also, I like students to warm up and cool down on their own, so please be prepared for an hour of riding. I teach both English and Western. Kids are welcome, but they must have their own horse, and a parent must be present at all times.

TRAINING

All breeds and ages welcome. I’ve worked with everything from Warmbloods to Icelandic ponies with problems, and all levels from colt starting, to show horses.  My horses are polite, mentally and physically balanced, and happy. 

Training rates are $650 per month, with a three month minimum. All care is top quality, and I will be the only one riding and handling your horse. For this reason, I take only three outside horses at a time.

SPECIAL SESSIONS

If you have a specific issue on which you’d like some advice, I do individual, one hour training sessions for $50. This could be anything from halter breaking a foal, to teaching trailer loading, to getting a correct lead departure.
